Nader Davoodi has been the Publisher of
Tamashagaran Magazine for more than 10 years,
and has worked with IRNA News Agency for more
than eight years. He has also worked with Raw Talent Photo Agency and World Photo Bank. He is a Founding Member of the Iranian Photojournalists Association, a member of the Eastern Canadian News Photographers Association, a member of the International Sport Press Association (AIPS), and a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ). As a Freelance, he has cooperated with Soccer Canada Magazine, Sport Illustrated and National Geographic. He has been a jury member of the Iranian Press Festival; a Lecturer of Photojournalism & History of Photography; Managing Editor of ENVOY magazine, a jury member of the International Photo Festival of the Child & Young Adults. Nader has an M.A. in Communication and B.A. in Archaeology & History of Art. He is currently working on five photo projects: The Future Hit (youth movement in Iran), Breaking the Rules (modern women of Iran), Iranians by Concept (cultural behaviour of Iranian people), Modern Theatre of Iran (pictorial history), and Tehran-New York Which is a comparison between the social life in the two cities. His first docu-drama film, Aref Squared was screened in the 2009 Dubai international film festival. He has been directing documentaries since 1996 and one of his works, 13 and a half, co-directed by Abbas Ahmadi, was celebrated with a warm welcome at the 2006 Vancouver International Film Festival.
